31 Days for Change is a grassroots Wisdom Initiative fostered by an independent coalition of interested individuals.  The idea is to create clusters of awareness over a particular period of time where individuals can share their talents and efforts to create community that recognizes the value of mindful being.  In a way we seek to create a more just society that realizes the value of love and beauty in our lives – to develop an appreciation for the interconnectedness of beings – human and otherwise along with the Earth which fosters our lives.

Please respond with ideas of how you might like to join in.

We’ve been working on a 3-year household hazardous waste project, also mainly in the Hamilton Hill neighborhood. Looking for ways to make good connections. I’m sorry I missed the meeting a week ago at the Muddy Cup. I’ve also been interested in the energy efficiency issues for a long time. I’m wondering how you’re spreading the word.

      Greetings!

Thanks for the reply. We are just getting started – we will use the 31 Days for Change as a vehicle to start getting the word out – The Northeast Energy AmeriCorps Program is a separate entity through the new Career Development Center at Northeast Parent and Child Society. Our job is to get the word out about funding opportunities and to help community members fill out applications for home energy performance assessments and then to actually weatherize 30 Homes. There is lots to do! We welcome volunteers who would like to help on these projects or other organizations for collaboration. Next meeting this coming Monday at 5:00pm at the Muddy Cup.
      all best,
      mc
